Former Knoxville Girls Basketball Standout Sam Abens has completed her first season of college basketball at Southwest Minnesota State. While Abens did not get the minutes she was used to in high school, she was able to contribute for the Mustangs. Abens averaged around six minutes per game and averaged two-point-five points per game. Abens shot 35% from the field and 38% from behind the three point line, she also dealt out 11 assists. Her high point game was on January 29th against Winona State where she scored eight. Southwest Minnesota State finished the season with a 7-19 record.
