Central College’s Vice President of Student Development and Dean of Student Life is leaving that post after 6 years of service.

Dr. JoNes Van Hecke has accepted a position at Gustavus College, her alma mater, in St. Peter, Minnesota.

Dr. Van Hecke earned her undergraduate degree in biology and communications from Gustavus, a master’s degree from the University of Indiana in 1990 and her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2006, at which point she joined the staff at Central.
