Though the calendar may say its spring, frost can still occur with the lower overnight temperatures and residents are reminded of the importance of making sure all windows are clear before driving their vehicles. One person was injured in a two vehicle accident Tuesday morning when a red sedan with frost covered windows turned in front of a Knoxville City truck. The accident occurred at approximately 7:45am when according to Police Chief Dan Losada, the driver of the sedan was heading eastbound on Madison and turned left at Dayton Street before being struck by the City vehicle that was traveling West on Madison. Knoxville Fire and Rescue and the Knoxville Police Department responded to the scene and the driver of the sedan was transported to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics with apparent non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the City truck was not injured.
