CRP Signup Deadline Is Here

The deadline to sign up for the Conservation Reserve Program, or CRP is here. Angie Vos of the Marion County Farm Services Agency says people interested in should come to the office in Knoxville with a map showing the plot of land they wish to be part of the program. Eligible land must by highly erodable and must have been cropped in 4 of the 6 years between 2002 and 2007. Vos says there is lots of paperwork to complete and advices any takers to come in early in the day.
