As the current legislative session draws to a close, debate about just how much money the state of Iowa has to spend continues. State Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven says recent figures produced by the Senate indicating a budget reserve of $600 million dollars should not be used to fund budget items. He says that while that money way well be available, it is “one time” money, and shouldn’t be counted on as a source of revenue.
