The Historical Village is full of interesting buildings and other attractions, but one of the more notable items on display is a vintage street organ.
Volunteers for the Village operate the 19th century instrument all day for visitors to the Village. Bruce Nichols, one of the volunteers who operate the organ says upkeep is minimal, but constant.
He says they fix items on the organ as the need arises. Currently, one of the keys is stuck which has forced them to call in an expert from New Sharon.
Nichols says his favorite part of running the organ is meeting the people with questions, especially children interested in seeing how it all works.
