The 76th annual Tulip Time celebration went off well, according to Pella Police Lt. Paul Haase. He says no major problems arose, and the needs of citizens and visitors were well tended to by the staff of officers, reserve officers and other law enforcement agencies. Haase says the biggest challenge is keeping traffic moving smoothly through and around Pella, which was made possible with help from the Iowa State Patrol. Several Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies also pitched in with some extra security for the various vendors around town during the festival.
