The Knoxville High School had an unusual assembly Friday afternoon,–it included a pie-eating contest, and resulted in several members of the staff getting pied in the face. Principal Kevin Crawford tells us that the purpose of the assembly was to recognize and celebrate all of the volunteer activities and fundraising the students participated in over the school year. Of particular note was the $4,000 the students raised for Parkinson’s research in honor of Councilor Terry Tribolet, who passed away recently from the disease. Students Katie Ayers and Timothy Shepard say Tribolet was a very special person who was always there for them.
