The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Monroe First Responders and the Iowa State Patrol responded to a one vehicle accident on Highway 163 approximately 2 miles east of Monroe shortly after Noon yesterday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Josiah Warren, 22 of Aurora CO was driving westbound on 163 and dropped off the shoulder, overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll.

The driver was transported to Mercy Hospital by Mercy One and one passenger, Shamayllis Glass 17, of Centennial CO was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, both with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
