Knoxville fell to Clarke 14-2 in its season opener last night in softball. The Panthers got an R-B-I single from Gretchen Hileman in the fourth inning. Katie Ayers also got a hit. Jessica Stickle took the loss going the distance in a game that was cut short to four innings due to the 12 run rule after four innings of play. Knoxville is off tonight, but will return to action tomorrow in the Centerville Invitational.
