The Knoxville Baseball Squad suffered its first loss of the season in game one of a double header with South Tama last night. The Panthers fell to the Trojans 5-4 in eight innings then came back to get revenge in an 11-1 in five innings victory in the night cap. Lance Daugherty was pinned with the loss in game one while Justin Katich earned the win in game two. Coach Steve Mott says the Little Hawkeye Conference which he and the team is finding out will be very competitive this season. He adds Pella has made improvements the last few seasons. Knoxville will take the weekend off and come back Monday with another one of the conference contenders, a road game with Grinnell.
