Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson spoke with KNIA/KRLS early this morning about flooded areas around the county.
The Marion County Sheriff’s office and the Pella Police Department report that there are road closures on 240th and 228th near Pella at Thunder Creek.
The Iowa DOT reports that Northbound Iowa 5 is now open.

Also, Iowa highway 92 is closed in both directions between Mahaska County Road T-25 and Iowa 163 (near Beacon).
The Marion County Engineers office tells KNIA/KRLS that if you see flooded roadways, or damage to roads, call their office at 828-2225 or the Marion County Sheriff’s office at 828-2220.
Marion County Emergency management, the Sheriff’s office, and the County Engineer’s Office are currently surveying damage.
