The Internal Revenue Status said today that ten Knoxville organizations were among the nearly 3000 Iowa charities that lost their tax-deductible status. The IRS requires that charitable organizations file the appropriate form at least once every three years. If they don’t their tax status automatically revoked.
Those organizations impacted in Knoxville are:
American Assocation of University Women
AmVets – Auxilary – 78
Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden
Greenwood Cemetery Aid
Hickman Healing Foundation
Iowa State Coon Hunters
Knoxville Band Boosters
National Alliance for The Mentally Ill
