The office of Senator Chuck Grassley is reporting that Knoxville Municipal Airport is among one of twenty-four Iowa airports receiving a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration. Knoxville’s airport will receive $107,280 to rehabilitate the airport’s access road. The grant is distributed through the Airport Improvement Program that is run by the FAA. Grassley says that the funding is intended to increase the safety and efficiency of airports.
