Saturday is Coal Miner’s Day. The annual Melcher-Dallas city celebration honors the city’s history and coal mining background. A 5k run/walk will start the day off, with registration beginning at 8:30. A parade will follow at 11. There will also be a carnival, a bags tournament, a petting zoo, refreshments, and lots more.
