The recent heavy rains have not raisedmuch havoc on a local vineyard. Rod Haworth, President of Grape Escape Vineyard and Winery in Pleasantville, says that the grapes are still coming along just fine, despite near-record rainfall for the month of June. He adds that the rain has made it harder to get into the vineyards to do work out there, but it shouldn’t impact how the grapes mature. He continues that it would be nice to get a couple days of sunshine to get the grapes to ripen, but he says the weather really hasn’t caused too much trouble.
