A Lovilia woman is dead after a one car accident that happened sometime Saturday night near Bussey. 37-year-old Danielle Kelso was driving east bound on Utah Street, turning north onto 250th Ave when the Iowa State Patrol says she lost control of her 1995 GMC Jimmy and was thrown from the vehicle. Trooper Jason Neely says that Kelso had left her Lovilia residence at 6:30 Saturday evening to meet up with some friends. When she never showed up, her friends and family filed a missing person’s report. At 11:50 Sunday morning, a call came in about report of a car in the ditch at the corner of Utah Street and 250th Ave. When rescue crews arrived, they pronounced Kelso dead on the scene. Trooper Neely says that they presume the accident happened sometime early Saturday evening, after she left her residence. The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol investigated the accident.
