Road construction continues to make progress in Knoxville. Jeff May, Director of Public Works in Knoxville, says that the West Area Relief Sewer Project, the big project in the city this year, is moving at a good pace. He says that in a couple weeks, they will be able to put together a timetable for when they’ll be opening up South Street and other affected by the construction. May adds that the annual street paving project has done several patches around town, and that the sidewalk program continues through the summer as well.
