A berth in the class 3A sub state is on the line tonight in Centerville as the Knoxville Baseball Squad plays the host Big Reds in a district championship game. The Panthers ousted Oskaloosa on Friday night behind timely hitting and not committing very many errors, plus Eric Jones solid pitching especially in the latter innings. Centerville meanwhile was busy getting rid of Fairfield to set up a rematch of last year’s district game when Knoxville won 11-10. Coach Steve Mott says he and the coaching staff are taking the approach as this is a new season altogether.
