The Knoxville City Council met in regular session yesterday evening. At the meeting, they approved a job description for the deputy city clerk position. During that discussion, city manager Harold Stewart brought up concerns about the city staff’s salary structure. He told the council he would like to make some changes so that there are caps on the low and high end of what a position can earn. Also during the meeting, Mayor Don Zoutte thanked Police Chief Dan Losada and his police reserves for the volunteer hours they’ve worked. Losada published a report at last night’s meeting that the Knoxville police reserves volunteered over $13,000 worth of hours this past fiscal year.
