[simage=6000,400,y,center] The Iowa State Patrol has released its report about an accident that occurred the T-17/Highway 92 intersection Monday. The vehicle driven by 70-year-old Richard Monroe, of Illinois, was stopped on T-17 waiting to turn onto Highway 92, when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Loren Jay Rankin, of Harvey. Rankin was having a diabetic episode at the time, causing him to drive erratically. Both Rankin and Monroe’s passenger, 52-year-old Michael Roach, were taken to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics and released. Everyone was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the accident.
