Knoxville’s football scrimmage last night gave the coaching staff a glimpse of what the team might do in game situations. Coach Troy Rider said the offense looked good even with several players unable to participate. He added the defense still needs some work, but said he saw some encouraging signs.

Rider said the running game was a big emphasis in the off season and still is. He thinks when they get all of the players back on defense, they should be in good shape. Knoxville opens up its season next Friday at PCM.
