The Knoxville Volleyball Squad held its own at the Ballard Invitational yesterday in a field of some of the top competition in Iowa. The Panthers came back with a 1-2 mark as they opened the day with a win over the host Bombers in a two game sweep. Knoxville lost in it next two matches to 4A Johnston in two games and also to Jefferson-Scranton in two games. The Panthers were near perfect on the day in serving. Jessica Jones, Amber Klootwyk, Jamie Rinehart, and Brooke Chrisman were combined 56/56 behind the serve line. Jones also had 19 kills and 25 digs to lead both categories while freshman Meredith Cunningham had 35 assists. Knoxville is 4-6 on the season and has a road trip to Grinnell in the Little Hawkeye Conference Tuesday night.
