The Marion County Board of Supervisors met with officials from the US Army Corps of Engineers Wednesday to discuss multiple issues at Lake Red Rock. Among them was transferring eastment of some of the lesser-used roads from the County to the Corps. County Engineer Roger Schletzbaum and Corps Manger Sherri Duey discussed with the board their plans. They said that they are focused right now primarily on the area west of the mile-long bridge. In addition to transferring roads, they said they have plans to vacate six or seven roads in that area. That decision would need board approval.

This list of roads being pursued for vacation:

120th Avenue – Section 2, 76-20
95th Avenue – Section 4, 76-20
Gear Street – Section 4, 76-20
Gear Street – Section 5, 76-20
20th Place – Section 6, 77-21
124 Avenue – Section 25, 77-20

Some of these roads may not be being used already.
