At least one person was transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident south of Pleasantville this morning. At about 10:30 this morning, Pleasantville Fire & Rescue responded to the intersection of Highway 5 and 40th Place after a collision between a maroon minivan and a grey sedan. At last reports about 15 minutes ago, all traffic going southbound on Highway 5 was stopped as authorities cleaned up the scene. Knoxville Fire & Rescue, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the Iowa State Patrol also responded to the scene. KNIA/KRLS will have more information as it becomes official.
