Area small businesses affected by severe weather over the spring and summer may apply for disaster assistance funds through the US Small Business Administration. The relief funds are for small, non-farm businesses that are indirectly dependant on agriculture like small agriculture cooperatives and private non-profit organizations. The funding comes in the form of Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million and are meant to offset the negative financial impact of a disaster.
