In addition to municipal elections this year, the City of Pleasantville is having a tax levy vote. The question is whether to vote for a fifty cent per thousand tax to be used to support the Memorial Hall. Memorial Hall Commissioner Gordon Mecham says that they have and will continue to fundraise and use volunteers and donations to support the building, but the tax levy is crucial for the building’s future. Mecham says he hopes the citizens of Pleasantville will come together to save the building and support the tax levy on Election Day.
