There have been a lot of firsts for the Melcher-Dallas football squad this season. The first unbeaten regular season since 1975, and the first ever home playoff game to be played tonight. However, the Saints will have a familiar foe, or better yet, thorn coming to Melcher-Dallas. Lenox has defeated Melcher-Dallas that last four times the teams have played in both the postseason and regular season. Melcher-Dallas Coach Ryan Conrad says while it has been an un-Lenox like season, he knows with the Tigers’ tradition, they will be ready. Melcher-Dallas has the top seed and stands 9-0 on the season while Lenox has the fourth seed and carries a 4-5 record into the postseason. The winner will play Monday night in the second round against either Twin Cedars or Murray. You can hear the play-by-play with Derek Cardwell and Jordy Tickle starting with the pre-game show at 6:30 on AM 1320 KNIA and streamed live at kniakrls.com.
