The restoration of the windmill at Brinkhoff Park is finished and and the structure was placed on its new base Friday. The more than 70 year old mill was taken down this summer for restoration. Garden club member Marlyn Reitvelt-Ebbers said that the members of the garden club felt the old windmill was falling into disrepair, and that volunteers reworked the windmill, starting from scratch. As one of the gateways to Pella, Reitvelt-Ebbers says it is very important to have the windmill looking nice to give a good first impression to visitors as they drive into the community. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony will be announced later. The Pella Garden Club has 21 members.
