It’s that time of year when many people’s thoughts begin to shift for the things in our lives we’re thankful for. At Pella Christian High School, Bible Studies teacher Nate Van Wyk is helping his students get a better grasp on the many benefits and luxuries they have in their lives that are often taken for granted by holding “Poverty Week”. Over those five days, students will go without things that those living in poverty would not have. Nate shares how poverty week began and what his students gain from the experience in an interview with KNIA/KRLS’s Eric Gotschall.
