Gridlock in Washington has resulted in the creation of a bi-partisan “supercommitee” that is meeting to come to a resolution regarding federal budget cuts. Their deadline to submit a proposal to Congress regarding cuts is less than two weeks away–November 23, and Medicare is one of the programs on the potential chopping block. Bob Kroese, CEO with Pella Regional Health Center calls the potential cuts potentially devastating and suggests that listeners contact their representatives and ask that there be no cuts to Medicare if they want to keep high quality services not only in Pella, but also in the state of Iowa, and nationally.
