It didn’t stay around for long, but we’ve already seen our first snow of the year, and Pella residents need to be mindful of the city’s Snow Ordinance when greater amounts of snow accumulate. Marcia Slycord, Communications Supervisor at the Pella Police Department, says per city code, the Public Works Director Chief of Police confer to make the decision on when to enact the Snow Ordinance. Slycord adds that the enactment – and subsequent lifting – of the Snow Ordinance will be posted on the City of Pella website, and will also be announced on KNIA/KRLS.
