Two vehicles were involved in an accident on T-15 east of Chrisman’s Corner between Knoxville and Pella at approximately 4:45 this afternoon. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s office, three vehicles were westbound toward Knoxville. The first vehicle, a red Cavalier slowed to turn left and south on to 180th. The third vehicle, a red pick-up, went into the left lane to pass the second vehicle, and t-boned the Cavalier turning left. The vehicle being passed remained uninvolved in the accident. The driver of the Cavalier was transported to Pella Regional Health Center. The driver of the pick-up was uninjured. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Rescue, and the Knoxville Rural Fire Department responded to the scene. The accident remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
