The Festival of Trees is this weekend at the Marion County Historical Village. The annual event is put on by the Marion County Historical Society, and helps raise funds for needy families through the Marion County Community Action Program. More than 40 trees have been decorated for the holidays. Historical Society President Janet Ritchie says that the Historical Village is Marion County’s best kept secret. The Village is located on Willits Drive next to Marion County Park, just south of Graceland Cemetery. The Festival of Trees is free and open to the public. It runs from 1-5pm both Saturday and Sunday.
