The Knoxville City Council meets in regular session Monday evening. During the meeting, they’ll vote on an ordinance that would prevent citizens from carrying a weapon into city buildings, such as City Hall and the Roads Department Building. The Iowa State Liaison for the National Rifle Association, Christopher Rager, has sent a letter to Council members expressing his opposition of the ordinance.
