A 10-2 run just before halftime opened up the game for Perry and allowed the Bluejays to defeat Knoxville last night in girls basketball 60-38. Turnovers plagued the Panthers all night as they dropped their opening game of the season. Hanna Rosenkranz scored 17 points to lead Knoxville. Coach Jim Utiermarkt said the offense struggled at times and the defense gave up too many easy shots. He is confident the offense will get better as the season goes along. Knoxville is off until next Tuesday as the Panther play their home opener against Albia.
