A trio of seniors from two Little Hawkeye Conference volleyball teams have earned All-State recognition.

Pella Christian leads the way, as Jenna Horstman was named Second Team All-State for Class 2A, while teammate Sarah Faber earned a nod for the Third Team.

Horstman, an outside hitter for the Lady Eagles, finished the season with 277 kills (3rd in the Little Hawkeye Conference), along with 62 service aces (2nd in the LHC)

Faber, meanwhile, put together a well-rounded season, recording 266 assists, 198 digs, 162 kills, and a .935 serve efficiency, which was fifth best in the conference for those with 150 serves or more.

The tandem contributed to plenty of success as well for Pella Christian, as the Lady Eagles completed a 28-5 season, making it all the way to the Class 2A Regional Finals.

Knoxville was also represented on the Class 3A All-State roster, as Jessica Jones was an Honorable Mention selection. She finished with the fourth-most kills in the Little Hawkeye Conference (255) and boasted success rate of 93 percent from behind the service line. Jones helped lead the Panthers to a 17-20 overall record and a postseason run to the Class 3A Regional Semifinals.

The All-State teams were selected by the the Iowa Girls Coaches Association and released Monday afternoon.
