[simage=6635,200,y,left] The Marion County Humane Society is joining in on the Black Friday shopping craze with a special adoption rate for black cats and dogs. On Black Friday only, the Humane Society will be offering adoptions of black dogs for $60 and black cats for $35. Usually, the Humane Society charges $85 for dogs and $65 for cats. Marion County Humane Society Director Amber Thomas says that they’ve had a large take-in of pets recently as the economy struggles to recover. Black dogs and cats are the least adopted, Thomas says. The Humane Society will be open from 10am-4pm Friday.
