The Knoxville City Council approved Monday a new application for citizens that would like to be considered for vacancies on boards and commissions. Knoxville City Manger Harold Stewart says that applications don’t require that much information of applicants, but they give the mayor and the City Council a better idea of qualifications and desire to be on those boards. Stewart says that being on a city-appointed board and commission is a great way to find out more about city government as well as serve and give back to the community. Contact City Hall or a Council member for more information.
