It’ll be 4-6 weeks until more is known about the death of 26-year-old Amy Marie DeGoey. DeGoey passed away at the Knoxville Hospital E.R. Tuesday after being found unresponsive in her cell at the Marion County Jail. She had been arrested earlier that day after being charged with Operating while Intoxicated.

Mike Motsinger, DCI Zone One Special Agent, tells KNIA/KRLS News that an autopsy has been performed. It’ll be 4-6 more weeks until the autopsy report and toxicology reports are finalized. At that time, the autopsy report and a DCI report will be sent to the Marion County Attorney’s Office. The Attorney’s Office will look over the reports and decide at that time whether or not there are is any indication of criminal activity.
