32-year-old Joshua West was sentenced to a maximum of 25 years in prison earlier this month after pleading guilty to Felony Eluding a Police Officer and conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine. The Ottumwa man led Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies and Knoxville Police Officers on a high speed chase in August throughout the eastern and southeastern portion of Marion County. At one point near Tracy, West drove through a bean field before ending up in a ditch. Mahaska County and Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies also assisted on that chase, as did the Iowa State Patrol.
