New councilman Tim Pitt will be sworn in during the regular meeting of the Knoxville City Council on Monday evening. Pitt will replace Bob Wims, who will receive a presentation of service award. Wims has served on the Knoxville City Council for the past eight years. Mayor Don Zoutte and Councilwomen Carolyn Formanek and April Verwers will also take their oaths of office. The council will also consider a new parking ordinance. The meeting is at 6:15 at Knoxville City Hall.
