About 70 people gathered upstairs at the Swamp Fox Pub and Grille in Knoxville yesterday as Republican Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich continued to rally support to his campaign with less than two weeks until the Iowa caucuses. The former House Speaker talked about the negative campaigning that’s been occurring on the airwaves in Iowa, saying that it’s disappointing. He held true to those comments throughout the speech, as the only attacks he levied were against President Barack Obama. He discussed the differences he saw between himself and President Obama in energy, taxes, the role of government, and many other topics.
