Melcher-Dallas Superintendent Steve Mitchell has offered his resignation. Mitchell is asking the Melcher-Dallas School Board to accept it, effective January 16th. Mitchell tells KNIA/KRLS News that he’s resigning for the opportunity to pursue other exciting things. He says he’s enjoyed his time with the students and parents. He also notes that the support staff and teachers at Melcher-Dallas are some of the best he’s ever worked with. Mitchell is currently in his seventh year as superintendent. The School Board will discuss it during a meeting today at 7:30 at the elementary school.
