Helping Hands Food Pantry and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce are saying that their Children’s Christmas gift program was a great success. The Chamber teamed with Helping Hands, who organizes the program, to make sure that needy children in Marion County got Christmas gifts this year. The Chamber asked local individuals and businesses to help by adopting a family. Many local businesses responded, including Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, who adopted five families. Chamber Director Larissa Van Donselaar says that more than 300 children will have gifts this year that wouldn’t otherwise.
