The Melcher-Dallas School Board accepted the resignation of Melcher-Dallas Superintendent Steve Mitchell effective January 16th. Mitchell tells KNIA/KRLS News that he’s resigning to take a position with a state agency. He says he’s enjoyed his time with the students and parents. He also notes that the support staff and teachers at Melcher-Dallas are some of the best he’s ever worked with. He adds that he looks forward to working with the School Board to assure a smooth transition to the next Superintendent. Mitchell is currently in his seventh year as Superintendent.
