DNR Conservation Officer Ken Kenyon reminds hunters and trappers that proper disposal of animal carcasses is important. Kenyon notes that there are a number of different ways to dispose of deer or raccoon carcasses. He says one way is to just put it with your regular garbage. The animal will then be picked up with the trash. He also says getting permission from a farmer to dump the carcass someplace on their land would a good option. Both options, he says, are more appropriate than dumping in view of the public, and irresponsible dumping makes all hunters and trappers look bad.
