The Pella Christian girls basketball team has moved up two spots in the latest girls basketball rankings, released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

The Lady Eagles are now No. 11 in Class 2A. They started the season as the preseason No. 7 selection, but tumbled to No. 13 after a season-opening loss to PCM, and had stayed their the past three weeks.

OA-BCIG and Estherville-Lincoln Central are each 10-0, and remain at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.

A pair of teams from the area are also inside the top ten in the Class 1A rankings. North Mahaska continues to be the top-ranked girls team in the state, while their nearby rival – Lynnville-Sully – moved up two spots this week to No. 7.
