Tracking Santa’s flight is easier than ever. Since 1955, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, has been tracking Santa. NORAD says they use radar, satellites, “Santa Cams, and fighter jets to track Santa. They say Rudolph’s bright red nose gives off an infrared signature, which makes it easier for their satellites to detect Santa. The use of cameras began in 1998. The cameras show pictures and videos of Santa and his reindeer as he travels around the world. Click here to see where Santa is right now.
