More than $1100 was raised for the Coaches vs Cancer game during Striking Out Cancer this week. That’s according to Knoxville High School student and event organizer Katie Utterback. Utterback thanks all those who participated in the bowling event at Fairlane Bowl, as well as Fairlane Bowl for donating the time and lanes for the event. All the money will be put toward the Coaches vs Cancer game on January 21st, when Knoxville plays Chariton. Striking Out Cancer is one of many events surrounding the game. Last year, Knoxville High School Athletics raised more than $24,000 during the game.
